How We Pick Products
Every ranking on TenBelow is built from objective, publicly available data — not opinion and not payment. Here's exactly how our guides, comparisons, and deals are put together.
The signals we use
- Customer rating — the average star rating real Walmart shoppers have left. We filter out unrated listings so a “best” list only features products people have actually reviewed.
- Review volume — how many customers have weighed in. A high rating backed by thousands of reviews is more trustworthy than one backed by three.
- Price & discount — current sale price and how deep the rollback is versus the original price. We exclude placeholder pricing and implausible discounts that are almost always data errors.
- Availability — we only feature items shown as in stock at Walmart.
How each surface is ranked
- Buying Guides rank qualifying products by customer rating, then review volume, within a price ceiling (e.g. under $50).
- Comparisons feature the most-reviewed, decently-rated products in a category so you're comparing options shoppers actually consider.
- Deals are ranked by genuine discount depth against the original price.
What does not influence rankings
No seller, brand, or promoter can pay to rank higher, be featured, or win a comparison on TenBelow. Our affiliate relationship with Walmart earns us a commission on purchases, but it is identical across every product and has zero effect on order or selection. If we ever run clearly-labeled sponsored content in the future, it will be marked as such and kept separate from these editorial rankings.
Keeping data fresh
Prices, ratings, and availability are pulled from Walmart and refreshed regularly. Because Walmart's catalog changes constantly, always confirm the current price on Walmart before buying. Spotted something out of date? Let us know.
